Barry M Nail Paints, A General Obsession

Hi! So 90% of people who know me, will know my obsession with nail varnish.. and not just any nail varnish, the Barry M nail paints. I bought my first Barry M (which i still own and love) in "racing green" about 2 years ago, and since then to say my collection has grew would be putting lightly.. very very lightly. It has not got to the point that when looking at the nail paints in the drugstores i purchase from.. i struggle to find a colour i don't already own.

Barry M nail pain in "Racing Green"
So why the obsession? I was never really a "girly girl" growing up, even though i danced and sang and acted which was considered very "girly" i never dressed in pretty pink dresses or bothered what my hair/appearance looked like. However getting in to my final few years of high school all that changed and i became a kind of new person in the way in which i looked at myself. When first trying nail varnish's i didn't really know a "good one" from a "bad one" until i came across the most amazing array of colours that Barry M presented in front of me. From buying and trying my first Nail Paint i discovered that i loved the finish, the application, the look and colour that this one little pot of, how i saw it, glory glided on to my nails.

So 2 and a bit years later i now own over 35 Barry M Nail Paints in the widest range of colour from greens, reds, blacks, blues to glitters, nudes, top coats, neons, limited edition "specials"and special effects.

So to anyone out there that wants to spent £3/£4 on something that could transform the look of character of themselves just try one and i'm sure like me and many other people of YouTube or that blog you will fall head over heels for their frankly amazing concept of nail art!

Thanks for reading! Leave me some comments on your favourite Barry M colours or you favourite nail varnish brand! x x x

The Obsession with BB Creams...

To say i was sceptical about this new beauty rave is the biggest understatement ever!! However i was completely and utterly intrigued at the fact of these being so much different to low coverage foundations. I had never heard anyone actually explain them.. just bang on about how good they were for letting your skin breathe and how you could throw them on, on a "non make up day". As most things that intrigue me i bit the bullet and looked further in to this new phenomenon of the beauty world. Most BB creams include silicone which not only helps smooth over the skin, but is proven by many to make foundation look 10 times better and have a better finish on the skin.

There was one BB however in particular that caught my eye and made me wonder the most... Loreal's "Nude Magique"this particular BB cream is said to have "smart pigment capsules" which allow the (first appearance) of a white liquid somehow "match" your skin tone when it is applied to the face.

I personally apply this with a foundation brush as i feel it gives better and more precise coverage, i first applied it with my fingers and it seemed to go very patchy and horrible on my face. However i must admit i was pleasantly surprise with the results after i applied it with a foundation brush. And the most exciting part was, it did actually somehow match the colour of my face!

All in all i must admit i broke free of my opinion and actually ended up really like this product! It's perfect for "no make up days" or if i need to pop out and not look half dead with a quick make up look!

Skincare Review- Loreal Skin Perfection 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution

Hi! This blogpost is another product which has so many people raving and suggesting it! I hate to say that my skincare routine is (and i admit) pretty damn awful because i'm so lazy i take my make-up off with a make up wipe and thats it! But lately i've really be exploring the different types of skin care routine that i've seen on YouTube and in blogs and decided i needed to change my ways. So after all the hype of BioDerma i decided i needed something just like it as part of my routine. This Loreal version is supposed to be a near exact dupe for countries who can not get BioDerma, although i haven't tried BioDerma therefore i can not compare it exactly to this Loreal version, i can honestly say that this is fabulous product!

I didn't realise until i started using this product how much make-up is left on the skin if only a make up remover wipe is used. I have been putting a few drops of this on to some large cotton wool pads and wiping back over my skin after taking the first layer of make-up off with my trusty nivea sensitive skin wipes. Not only was i surprised at how much more make-up came off but also how much better my skin has been looking and feeling (cleaner, fresher, less oil and decreased amount of blemishes) If you are able to get hold of this product (i believe unfortunately it may only be the UK so far) then buy it and try it out!
If you have any recommendations for my to review or just try out please leave me a comment or send me a message!
Thank for reading! x x x

My Top 3 Favourite Mascaras

So if theres one thing i can get away with putting on and leaving the house with no other make-up it would be mascara, and there are 3 which i love all for different reasons but all my my lashes look (well to me) amazing! There 3 mascaras that never seem to be a noticed as the "falsies"by maybelline or Benefit's "they're real".

These mascaras however aren't in a kind of first, second and third because they all perform in different ways all of which i love the look of!

MaxFactor's "Wild Mega Volume" has the most interesting brush of the 3 i'm discussing (picture below)
this brush allows you to create the volume and curves with just one mascara, it was a pretty recent purchase of mine and i can well and truly say i will re-buying it! It's just so easy to throw and one coat and still have amazing lashes!
The next mascara is the Soap and Glory "Thick and Fast" this mascara gives great volume and the brush allows you to get right from the root to the tip of your lashes. The mascara is wearable with just one coat but for extra volume a second coat can make your eye lashes look amazing!
The brush allows you to get right in to the smaller lashes in the inner corners and to really get on to the bottom lashes!
My third favourite mascara is my Rimmel "Scandal Eyes" this mascara is my all time, hands down favourite it's been my go to beauty product for years and it will always hold a special place in my heart for being one of my very first beauty products! The mascara and brush gives you such volumous and false looking lashes, with just one coat!

So thats my top 3 mascaras! Let me know what you want to see next and if you haven;t anything you recommend that i should try!

Review: Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

So i gave in, and cracked under the pressure of the hype that evolves around one brands eye shadow palettes, of course it's the Urban Decay Naked 2! I had looked at both the Naked and Naked 2 sets for a while after hearing about and seeing so many reviews/tutorials with them! When looking in to them i discovered a more in depth explanation of the colours in each palette and decided i would get most use out of the naked 2 as i wear more of the colours in this palette more frequently. I'm really look to have a very big Debenhams in my hometown which holds counters for many brands such as YSL, Clarins, Benefit, BareMinerals and Urban Decay. P.S be aware, this is quite a long blog.. but stay with me!

So after purchasing the first thing i wanted to do was to just go home and try out as many colours as was humanly possible in one eye look.. (I advise you don't follow in my footsteps and try this) So after making a complete mess of my eyes that now looked like i'd been in make-up for the set of a house fire!  I looked and try the colours more "professionally" and so they actually looked nice!

I discovered that there were so many eye looks hat could be created with just this one palette and this was when i realised what all they hype was about! There are shadows in thus palette to create any type of look you could ever possibly want, and i most probably use this palette 90% of the time i wear make-up because the wide range of lovely colours allows me to! The shadows are so highly pigmented, are really easy to blend to however you want them to look and the set comes with a double end brush that can help you achieve that!

Now let me tell you about my favourite colours, not for any specific look, just because when ever i use them i absolutely love them! Blackout: the rich black colour is perfect if i want a really smokey eye or to line my lash line before or without eye liner! Half Baked: Such a lovely shimmery gold that just screams "party shade" and this colour is a must for a black and gold smokey eye! And finally Tease: I often wear this colour and nothing else in a casual day look! It's also a perfect crease colour for building and bleeding colours!

Phew.. thats it! Thanks for sticking with me if you have, and i've got some really exciting new things to review within the next couple of weeks! Hope to see you again! x
