Loreal Mad!

Hi guys!!

I don't know what it is but these past few months I've been drawn to the Loreal lines of both hair and makeup, I have never owned as much Loreal as I have other brands before so it has been nice for me to try some new things out and see how well they work with me and what I want them to do. I have spoken in previous blogs abouts a couple of skin care items I have been loving from they're current range, but this post is going to be all about their hair care line!
As I said I have never owned that many Loreal products, this especially goes for the hair care, apart from a few shampoos and conditioners that's it! So when i seen an offer in Boota just before Christmas I decided to try out a couple of the Elnett range.

My hair is important to me, it's naturally right curls and I hate it, so I do everything I can to get it straight and manageable, I had noticed it's condition worsening so this seemed the perfect time to protect it using something different. The Straight heat defence spray claims to keep your hair straight for 3 days, that it does. It also promises that my hair will be soft and shiny even after blow drying, again it does! I have certainly seen a difference in the condition of my hair from using this over the last couple of months, and it will definitely be one added to my carefully planned out hair care routine for re-purchasing!
The next product is there most talked about range I feel, the hair sprays. Their seems to be so many different ones all promising different things. To be honest it picked the one that sounded most exciting and most likely for me to be able to tell a difference from other hairsprays. I can't say i am a non-stop user of hair spray, it's always the hair product i end up owning the longest. Nights out once or twice a week use a spritz and that's that. However I can notice that from other hairsprays I have used it does feel nicer on the hair, not heavy, not sticky and it's got a hold! The one I used also promised to add shine to my do, and that it did succeed in!
I look forward to trying some more of Loreal, and I would also welcome any recomendations of Loreal products! Thanks guys, see you next time x

Behold the Balms

Hi guys! Just a quick mid-week post about something which i am heavily relying on at the moment.. LIP BALMS. Now over the years I've gone few copious brands like Burts Bee's, Vasaline, Baby Lips and palmers. However these past couple of weeks January and the holidays have caught up with me and the especial bad weather has taken it's toll on my lips. I am forever applying lip balms of all sorts but nothing has really cut it this week. Until I found a hidden gem in my makeup draws.. The Body Shop lip butters! I have used a fair few of these remember fondly the chocolate and almond ones. My current one I coconut.. If you have any sort of chap lips or dryness this works and does wonders! I would reccomend this to anyone, it comes in so many glorious flavours and it's a product that really does work! What could be better!

My latest skin care favourites

Hi Guys! In this blog I'm going to discuss my skin care, what I like, what works for me and how I go about looking after my skin.

Now I've never been good at looking after my skin and every year it becomes a New Years resolution to look after my skin more, so I end up buying a bunch of products to try out and see how I find them. But the truth is I'm lazy, when I get in I want to get my make-up off quickly and settle down for the night. For a a while I used the MAC cleanse off oil, and it worked brilliantly for me it removed my make up and protected my skin from breakouts. However once the formula was changed my skin had an allergic reaction to it and I was devastated. Since then I have never really bad a skin care routine in general, never mind one that I was happy with. I have quite dry skin that can be prone to breakouts.
The past few months have however changed for me and I've noticed a massive change in my skin (for the better) one of these products I have previously spoke about which was the Loreal 3 in 1 purifying solution
The other products I am using are as follows; Clinique Foaming cleanser- I love how I swipe this on, rub it with water and my make up is off and squeaky clean!
My next product is also Loreal, I bought this to see how it compared to the MAC cleanse off oil, surprisingly it did the job and got the makeup off once it was mixed with water, I do however feel kr slightly dries my skin, but I do enjoy using it and the clean after feel!
The final product is one I had done a lot of research into after seeing a lot of YouTubers talk about it as favourite skin care products! It is the La Roche-Posay targeted breakout corrector! I have been using this for 2 weeks and can honestly say I have never known my skin be in much better condition, it has stopped and cleared up break-outs, my skin feels smooth, soft, moisturised and pure.
I would most definitely recommend trying these products out if your as lazy and uncomplicated as me!

See you soon! X

Benefit makeup..

So over the past 9 months I have wanted to try some benefit products, I had always stuck to MAC or drugstore makeup and never really ventured in to anything else. But after watching various beauty videos on YouTube and seeing the wide variety of makeup people seems to be using from their collection, and loving I thought it was only fair to give it a chance and explore what they did!

The first product I purchased was the one I had heard most about, Hoola, the bronzer.
I now understand why so many people own it, it doesn't look muddy or like you've smeared orange dirt down your cheeks! It bends well, it's amazing for contouring and it's easy to work with!

The next product to be added to my collection was a gift for my birthday (I had asked for it as it was reccomended by a friend) it was the blush Coralista.
Now can I just start by asking I am I the only one who thinks this smells amazing?Aside  from the smell though, this blusher is beautiful! I'm not one for bludgers and it was a very rare occasion that I would wear one before owning this but a flush across my cheeks makes such a difference! Love this!

My third and possibly favourite product of my benefit collection has to be the They're Real! mascara, I'm a mascara junkie and it's the product I own the most of!
The brush and the mascara itself creates such false looking lashes, and like to packaging explains you have have to ask yourself "are they real?" It is truly a beautiful mascara, no clumps, no flaky fallouts and it doesn't cause a mess all over your eyes!

The final product was featured on my last blog about what I received for Christmas, it's the Sugarbomb compact.
Now I believe this supposed to be a blush.. And although I have used it as a blush a fair few times I am loving it as a highlighter! When all the colours are swirled together it makes the most perfect rosey gold highlight and sweeps on effortlessly!
I have also tried and loved the porefessional! I need to re-purchase another one this week!
Well hopefully my collection will grow some more over the next few months, but for now.. Thank you benefit!

What I got for Christmas 2013

So, this year I happened to be very spoilt in the region of beauty and make up, I got other things apart from this but here's all the beauty rated things!
The most cutest Christmas present I received this year was from one of my favourite shops.. You either love it or loathe it- LUSH! I love how everything is from natural ingredients, and I'm guarantee that my sensitive skin won't be bothered by their products!
So here she is, Mrs Frosty! Even when she was wrapped up in paper I could smell the recognisable fumes drifting throughout our living room! She is made up of 3 compartments, the mini comforter bubble bar, the butterball bath ballistic and so white bath ballistic! I've decided to leave her as a cute addition to my room for the time being until I can't resist the smell any longer!

The next was something I have wanted for a while but knew I was getting then as a Christmas present so resisted every time I walked in to boots, they are the Sam Chapman real techniques make up brushes! Now i own brushes from a variety of places like MAC, models own and top shop. There's something I love about the uniformed line up of the gift sets of face and eyes (which is what I received) not only do they come in there little pockets so they don't all get lost, but they are actually worth all the hype they get and perform brilliantly!
Now a few of my other brushes are in here as I have been travelling over Christmas, but these truly are fantastic brushes and come reccomended from yet another beauty enthusiast!

The next to last product was something I have added to my slowly growing collection, over the past year I have been getting on to the Benefit line and trying more and more of their products (all of which so far I have loved)  so the next addition was sugar bomb
It's perfect as a blush swirled together with the colours blended, however I have been loving using it as a highlighter! It makes a perfect shimmer to the top of the cheeks and the colour in it mean it can be perfectly blended with the blush to look natural and flawless!

My final beauty related Christmas presents are all going to be pictured and talked about as a collective! People who know me well know my second love alongside LUSH is soap and glory! I have tried a lot of there products now over the years and most of my bath routine consists of a lot of their products, one thing I have also recently ventured in to this past year is the ever growing make up line which they are creating! In a previous post a talked about their Thick and Fast mascara which I still love!

So apologies for how late this, but it got here.. Somehow..

See you soon, Jess x

New Years Resolution...

So after starting Uni in September I kind of lost my way with the whole "being new to blogging" situation, so here's my new resolution.. As well as my Uni work and new health kick regime I will blog once a week, on what yet I have not decided, apart from the fact that it will be a mixture of beauty (my main love) some easy and cheap DIY for Uni or bedrooms and possibly a clothing something or other in there somewhere! So if I don't stick to any of these, then well I suck! But I'm going to try my hardest.. So here goes! New blog coming soon! Jess x
